  About Legal Researcher:  Conducts in-depth research on legal issues, statutes, and case law to support legal arguments and decision-making.  Primary Activities 


  A Legal Researcher in the Legal function is typically expected to perform the following activities as a part of their job.   •  Conducting Legal Research: Gathering and analyzing legal information, statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents to support legal cases or provide legal advice

  •  Analyzing Legal Issues: Examining complex legal issues, identifying relevant laws and regulations, and providing analysis and recommendations to support decision-making
  •  Assisting In Case Preparation: Supporting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and negotiations by conducting factual investigations, organizing evidence, and preparing witness statements
  •  Reviewing & Summarizing Legal Documents: Reviewing contracts, agreements, court filings, and other legal documents, extracting key information, and summarizing their content for easy reference
  •  Monitoring Legal Developments: Staying updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to the organization's practice areas and providing updates to the legal team
  •  Assisting In Legal Due Diligence: Conducting research and analysis to assess legal risks and compliance issues in mergers, acquisitions, or other business transactions
  •  Preparing Legal Opinions: Providing well-reasoned legal opinions and recommendations based on research and analysis to guide decision-making by clients or internal stakeholders
  •  Maintaining Legal Databases: Organizing and maintaining databases of legal resources, including statutes, regulations, case law, and legal research materials for easy retrieval and reference
  •  Collaborating With Legal Team: Working closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals to support their research needs, share findings, and contribute to legal strategies
