Primary Activities

A Legal Researcher in the Legal function is typically expected to perform the following activities as a part of their job. Monitoring Legal Developments: Staying updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to the organization's practice areas and providing updates to the legal team
Assisting In Legal Due Diligence: Conducting research and analysis to assess legal risks and compliance issues in mergers, acquisitions, or other business transactions
Preparing Legal Opinions: Providing well-reasoned legal opinions and recommendations based on research and analysis to guide decision-making by clients or internal stakeholders
Maintaining Legal Databases: Organizing and maintaining databases of legal resources, including statutes, regulations, case law, and legal research materials for easy retrieval and reference
Collaborating With Legal Team: Working closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals to support their research needs, share findings, and contribute to legal strategies
